Big thanks to all of you who came to our annual party, and if you didn’t, you missed a great gig! There was loads of yummy food cooked by our refugee volunteers – just enough to fill the 100-plus people who turned up.

Ella from ‘Art in the Park’ read some poems about Sheffield, Tchiyiwe and Violet from the DEWA (Development and Empowerment for Women’s Advancement) project gave a talk and read a poem, and Pallav Roy did his amazing Michael Jackson impersonation. We were also entertained by belly dancers, and the indefatigable Mim Suleiman, pictured.

Thanks also to all who made donations – we raised more than £70 for ASSIST.

Grateful thanks to Sheffield Faiths Forum, who funded the event.
