A public meeting is to be held in Sheffield in response to the hundreds of offers of help for the current refugee crisis. It will be held at 11am on Saturday 19th September in Sheffield University’s Firth Hall, Firth Court, Western Bank, Sheffield S10 2TN.
There will be speakers from refugee supporting organisations, campaign groups, Sheffield Council, Voluntary Action Sheffield and individual refugees. The aim of the gathering is to inform people about the different ways they can contribute, for example by donating items or money, campaigning, and volunteering.
Everyone is welcome to come along and learn about the issues globally and in Sheffield, to ask questions and sign up for their own actions.
