The Sanctuary lease is signed!

We’re delighted to announce that following months of negotiation, City of Sanctuary Sheffield’s Chair Mike Reynolds has finally put his signature to the lease of 37-39 Chapel Walk – watched here by our ever patient solicitor, Keith Arrowsmith of Counterculture Ltd. The process has taken longer than expected because our landlord, the Methodist Church, wanted to create a template that could be used for other buildings. “It’s been a long haul,” says Mike, “but I’m delighted that we can now carry on with our work, confident that we have a secure lease behind us.” The lease is for five years, so due to expire on 31st August 2023.
