Stand and Be Counted is an arts charity and the UK’s first Theatre Company of Sanctuary. They have created a limited edition football shirt to mark their 15th anniversary this summer.
The shirt has been designed with and by Stand and Be Counted’s group who worked with community-focused streetwear brand Among Good People and London Fashion Week designer Kazna Asker, who grew up in Sheffield, on the project. It is made to celebrate people, and to represent their core values – through Peace and Sanctuary.
John Tomlinson, joint CEO of Stand & Be Counted with Rosie MacPherson, said: “We really hope the logos, words and designs of the shirts typify everything we stand for as a company. They feature the words peace and sanctuary, as well as logos about people, the world and being kind, which sums up what we do. We are very proud that we’ve been able to offer the opportunity for quality arts and creative practices to so many people over 15 years.”
A limited run of just 50 football shirts has been produced for sale, and they can also be pre-ordered for £30 each at www.sbctheatre.co.uk, where you can also find out more about SBC theatres work.
