City of Sanctuary Sheffield has sent a letter of support to Sanctuary Cities in the United States, who’ve been under fire from President Trump.  Our message reads: City of Sanctuary Sheffield, UK, sends support and solidarity to New York City and our sister sanctuary cities in the USA.  We recognise that how we provide sanctuary may take different forms, but our spirit of openness and welcome is the same.  We all want everyone to feel safe and ‘at home’ in our cities.
We want you to know that in these uncertain times we are with you in standing up for vulnerable people, and we celebrate your commitment to being a sanctuary city.
