Sheffield—the UK’s first City of Sanctuary—hosted the second Theatre of Sanctuary Network Assembly last month, with over 30 theatre practitioners, festival organisers and arts curators assembling in the city to discuss how the performing arts can promote sanctuary.

The event took place at Sheffield Theatres, on Friday 21st February 2020, and featured workshops, talks and a showcase of photography from recent events, as well as a visit by attendees to the Sanctuary.
