In-depth – The Multi-Agency Drop-In is the advice and information hub for people seeking sanctuary in Sheffield.
It aims to challenge the hostile environment and reduce practical barriers to accessing support by bringing together different agencies in one easily accessible and central location.
CoSS staff and volunteers facilitate the space by signposting visitors to the right organisation for their needs and proveide information and guidance about other support available in the city.
Agencies at the Drop-in:
- Abtisam Mohamed MP’s office (fortnightly)
- ASSIST, support for people who have been refused aslyum
- Barber, free haircuts (inc. children)
- British Red Cross, Refugee Support team and Family Reunion team
- Citizens Advice Sheffield
- Clothes Bank, clothes and shoes for men, women and children
- CoSS Infomation Desk, foodbanks and signposting
- CoSS Health and Wellbeing Desk
- Conversation Club (located at The Sanctuary)
- Food Bank Vouchers, vouchers issued for emergency food needs
- Migrant Help, e-visa support
- New Beginnings, education, employment, volunteering
- Open Kitchen Social Club, free hot meal on the last Wednesday of the month
- Parker Rhodes Solicitors (monthly)
- Phoebe the Midwife, non-urgent midwifery advice, support, referrals and advocacy
- Rainbow Hub, LGBTQ+ support and welcome
- Refugee Employability Programme (fortnightly)
- SAVTE, entry 2+ English classes, free conversation in groups and 1-1 support
- Sexual Health Sheffield, sexual health advice and monthly screening
- South Yorkshire Refugee Law and Justice (fortnightly)
- SPRING, move-on support for those granted a positive asylum decision in Sheffield
- Open Kitchen Hot Lunch, free, nutricious and delicious hot lunch, tea and coffee
