Sheffielders came out in force to show their solidarity with migrants as part of the national ‘One Day Without Us’ celebration. Participants gathered at The Sanctuary for home made cakes and hot drinks before setting off to march from Devonshire Green to the Town Hall.  Here, representatives from the universities, City Council, City of Sanctuary Sheffield and other organisations spoke of the valuable and essential role migrants have played in this country.  The demonstration was mirrored in other parts of Sheffield and around the UK.
